Wall-Paper
11 min. HD video, 2014
Wall-Paper documents an eleven-hour performance carried out from sunrise to sunset.
A large glass window overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the border between Israel and Syria is gradually covered by black wallpaper. The eleven-hour performance was edited down to eleven minutes, which focus on essential repetitive actions like climbing up and down a ladder, drinking and urinating, hiding and revealing the landscape that was occupied from Syria by the Israeli army in the 6 Day War.
By subtracting pieces of the window and exposing certain elements of the view at specific hours of the day the work mimics the setting of the sun.
